About 1 million Bulgarians will travel during the holidays. Especially for Easter, we expect about 55,000 foreigners to visit Bulgaria.
This was announced on Euronews Bulgaria by Prof. Rumen Draganov, director of the Institute for Analyzes and Forecasts in Tourism.
There is a tourist boom in Sofia, he shared his impressions. According to him, foreigners prefer our capital because it is calm, there are not so many refugees, most tourist sites are outdoors, the food is good and cheap.
"Sofia is extremely modern in every direction and that is why it is an increasingly preferred destination,", he said.
"We will observe very intensive urban tourism this year - Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Veliko Tarnovo, especially from a cultural point of view," said Draganov.
