Russian Army Launches Large-Scale Offensive - 1

Russian troops may launch another large-scale offensive in Ukraine in late May or June.

According to the Financial Times, citing two senior Ukrainian intelligence officials, the occupiers are attacking key sections of the front line, as well as carrying out missile and drone strikes on Kharkiv and other cities, setting the stage for a major offensive operation.

A source from the Ukrainian army told BILD that he fears an attack on Kharkiv by troops of 20-40 thousand people. According to him, in this case, Ukraine will have to decide what to defend - the north or the east. Another serviceman told reporters that he also thought it was possible that the invaders would move towards Kharkiv.

According to one of the officers, during the full-scale war, the Russian troops learned to effectively use their forces for offensive operations. “Nowadays countless bombs are often dropped on the front, not like before – only in a few insignificant hangars, but in every building we hold”, the military said, noting that without ammunition and missiles for air defense, the Ukrainians will not be able to hold their positions, UNIAN agency reported.

Now Ukraine is building kilometer-long anti-tank defenses - not only in the south, but also along the borders with Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions. Recently, the US Congress, after months of delay, finally allocated $60 billion in military aid to Kiev, which is critical at this time.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said new supplies have already started arriving, but at a slow pace. “The process must be accelerated,” he urged. In recent weeks, the Russian armed forces have been able to make limited advances, particularly in the Donetsk region, due to their superior firepower. The Ukrainian army was forced to withdraw from villages in the eastern part of the country.
