22 immaculate BMWs up for auction

The models are M and M Performance and will be put up for auction

RM Sotheby's will be holding an auction to sell 22 BMW M Performance cars, including both modern and powerful models and rare style icons.

The collection is called “Best of M“ and spans nearly 53 years of the division's history. It includes some of the most powerful BMW M Performance models ever produced. Among the most interesting offerings are the 1975 Turbo model, which looks particularly attractive on Alpina Cotton Reel wheels, and the 1980 M1 supercar, dotted with the iconic BMW M stripes.

The collection also includes several M3s, including a 2.5-liter Sport Evo coupe and a 2.3-liter convertible. Other classic models from the 1990s include the drop-door Z1 sports car and a pair of 1995 E36 M3s. It's hard not to notice the Dakar Yellow convertible and the modest British Racing Green GT, created for homologation.

The more modern BMW M models include the E46 M3 CSL, the Z3 M “Clownshoe“ coupe and the E82 1M, as well as the 2003 Alpina Roadster and the rare four-door E90 M3 CRT, which is limited to just 67 units. Its bright orange sibling, the M3 GTS, coupe, is also available. The lot also includes a 2016 M3 GTS and a 2023 M4 CSL.

It is noted that all BMW M Performance cars put up for auction have minimal mileage and are in perfect collector's condition. The total value of the collection is estimated at $4.2 million.
