Nicolas Cage's car from the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" has received official replicas that are on sale

The project is led by the same specialists who created the 11 Eleanor cars for the film 25 years ago

This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the premiere of the cult film "Gone in 60 Seconds". In it, in addition to Hollywood star Nicolas Cage, the legendary Eleanor also played a major role - a customized 1967 Ford Shelby GT500.

Eleanor quickly became an icon and remains one of the most recognizable movie cars in history. To celebrate the anniversary, Cinema Muscle Recreations LLC has announced the release of an officially licensed Mustang Eleanor in an extremely limited edition. The model's debut is scheduled for November 1 at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas.

The project is led by the same specialists who created the 11 Elinor cars for the film 25 years ago. This fact guarantees maximum authenticity and precision in the reproduction of details.

The series will be limited to just 25 units - a move aimed at the most serious collectors and connoisseurs who can afford this rare model. Each car will arrive with a personalized license plate, a full set of documentation and official brand rights confirming its authenticity.

The fate of the Eleanor GT500 replicas has been marked by long legal disputes. For two decades, Denise Halicki, who inherited the rights to the original 1974 film from her husband - director H. B. Halicki, actively fought to have Eleanor recognized as a fictional character. She repeatedly filed lawsuits against companies attempting to create replicas, including Shelby.

Earlier this year, however, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled in a landmark decision: Eleanor is a movie prop, not a fictional character. This paved the way for the official reproduction of her iconic design.

„Eleanor: Gone Again“ - a classic with a modern twist

The anniversary project, called „Eleanor: Gone Again“, is based on a 1967 Ford Mustang fastback, but the improvements are far from just cosmetic.

The team has managed to combine a commitment to the original style with modern details that should appeal to a new generation of enthusiasts. The body, paint, trim, lighting, hood and interior are crafted with extreme attention to detail, preserving the spirit of the high-performance a car that became a movie star.
