Why and how Lamborghini's revenue is increasing

According to the company's management, this is due to hybrid models

Italian luxury supercar brand Lamborghini continues to demonstrate confident growth amid global economic uncertainty, significantly increasing key financial indicators in the first quarter of 2025.

The company, part of the German automaker Volkswagen Group, reported a 29.6% increase in revenue, reaching an impressive 895.2 million euros, which is a new record for the brand for the quarter. The main driving force is the deliveries of the new hybrid models Revuelto and Urus SE, which confirm the high global demand for the brand's products in the segment of premium cars with electrified powertrains.

The growth in operating profit (EBIT) is significant, which increased by 32.8% compared to the same period last year and reached 248.1 million euros. Such dynamics demonstrate not only a successful product strategy, but also competent financial management, which allows the company to effectively balance innovation costs and business profitability.

In the first three months of 2025, Lamborghini delivered 2,967 cars to customers around the world. The largest growth was recorded in the American market - plus 21%, which once again confirms the importance of North America as a key region for Lamborghini. At the same time, the EMEA market (Europe, Middle East and Africa) showed an increase in deliveries by 7% to 1,368 units, and the Asia-Pacific region showed an increase of 14% to 565 units. Such geographical expansion allows the brand to maintain stability even in a changing environment.

The company's CEO, Stefan Winkelmann, emphasized in his statement that the current financial results are “a reflection of the Lamborghini brand's resilience in the face of external challenges“ and confirm its commitment to the strategic course of introducing hybrid technologies without losing the brand's DNA. He also noted that customer interest in the new models exceeds expectations, and the brand itself plans to continue combining high performance and design with technologies focused on reducing environmental impact.

Lamborghini's CFO Paolo Poma, for his part, focused on the company's long-term goals. “Our strategy remains clear: we strive to create sustainable economic value for our shareholders, while paying special attention to the environmental aspects of development. The results of the first quarter are only confirmation of the correctness of the chosen path “, his statement said.

Lamborghini is actively working to expand its hybrid line, which should gradually replace exclusively gasoline models. This is part of a global electrification plan that encompasses not only the creation of new products, but also the rethinking of production processes, taking into account the requirements of sustainable development. The brand is also expected to introduce its first all-electric supercar by 2028 - a project that is already in active development.
