In the first quarter of 2025, the title of the most popular car in the world was won by the Toyota Corolla, which topped the global ranking with 244,751 cars sold, despite a 13.5% drop in sales. Thus, the model climbed one position and overtook its closest competitors.
The information is from Focus2move, according to which the Toyota RAV4 is in second place with 242,190 sales (a drop of 0.6%), which also climbed one position in the ranking. The Ford F-Series, despite showing strong growth of 24%, fell one spot to third place with 225,501 sales.
Tesla's best-seller, the Model Y, showed a significant decline, losing three spots to fourth place with 191,193 registrations (-33.6%). Fifth place goes to the Honda CR-V with an almost unchanged figure of 180,452 sales (-0.3%).
The second five are the Chevrolet Silverado (150,164 vehicles, -8%), the Hyundai Tucson (148,511, +1%) and the Tesla Model 3, which showed one of the highest growth rates among the top models - +24.2%, climbing six spots to eighth place (139,901 vehicles). The TOP-10 is closed by Toyota Hilux (136,420, +0.5%) and Toyota Camry (136,233, +0.5%).
