Mercedes-AMG announces mysterious new hypercar with almost 2,000 horsepower

The design is inspired by the legendary C111

Mercedes-AMG has released the first official teasers of its upcoming electric hypercar, which will be a logical continuation of the Vision One-Eleven concept. The new product is expected to have four powerful motors on the wheels and be built on the new AMG.EA platform with 800-volt architecture.

The design of the car is inspired by the legendary Mercedes-Benz C111 and features a striking orange body color, as well as sporty elements such as a large air intake and a contrasting insert on the hood.

This electric hypercar is likely to be a direct competitor to the upcoming Porsche Mission X. The project uses a cylindrical lithium-ion battery from Sila Nanotechnologies, which has improved energy density characteristics.

The electric motors are the work of Yasa, a Mercedes-Benz company specializing in compact but extremely powerful engines. Each of these engines is capable of delivering up to 489 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, while weighing just 24 kg, providing exceptional efficiency and power density.
