Subaru Uncharted sports crossover

The car is powered entirely by electricity

The all-new Subaru Uncharted has been unveiled, a sporty electric crossover that promises to combine affordability with impressive performance. This electric vehicle can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds and offers a range of almost 500 km on a single charge.

Price

The Subaru Uncharted is expected to go on sale in early 2026, with an estimated price of around $35,000. More details about the model were revealed on Subaru's official website.

Design and platform

At 4.5 meters long, the Subaru Uncharted is a coupe-crossover that shares its platform with the new Toyota C-HR electric vehicle. Its design features the same aerodynamic profile with a curved roof and hidden rear door handles. The main difference is the modified front end, which is in the style of the Subaru Solterra 2025, giving it a characteristic Subaru look.

Interior

The Subaru Uncharted's interior is identical to that of its "brother" Toyota C-HR. It features a compact steering wheel and a high-positioned digital instrument cluster. The electric car is equipped with a 14-inch touchscreen, and the front seats are separated by a two-level console, providing additional convenience and functionality.

Power and battery

The Subaru Uncharted will be available with a variety of drive options. The base Premium FWD version will feature a single electric motor generating 221 horsepower and will be driven by the front wheels. For those looking for more power and capability, the Sport and GT versions will include the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, thanks to two electric motors with a total output of 338 horsepower. All trims will use a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, providing an estimated range of over 300 miles (about 480 km) for the FWD model and up to 290 miles (about 465 km) for the AWD variants.

Charging and Features

Uncharted is equipped with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging port, allowing compatibility with Tesla Supercharger fast-charging stations. The vehicle supports fast charging up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes, even in cold temperatures, thanks to the battery preheating system. An 11 kW on-board charger for home AC charging is also available as standard. In addition, AWD versions of the Uncharted feature the Dual-function X-MODE® with Grip Control for improved traction on various terrains, including gravel, dirt and snow.

The base Subaru Uncharted electric car gets 18-inch wheels, all-round surveillance cameras, heated seats, a power tailgate and adaptive cruise control. The more expensive GT version gets 20-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, seat ventilation, a heated steering wheel and Harman Kardon speakers.

The new Subaru Uncharted crossover will be available in versions with front-wheel drive and 221 horsepower, and with all-wheel drive and 338 horsepower. The more powerful version will accelerate to 100 km/h in 5 seconds.
