The new Baojun Yep enters the European market. The compact and affordable electric crossover with an original design has a range of 300 km. The electric car appeared in the Czech Republic, where its price starts at 499,000 crowns (about $ 23,500).
The compact crossover Baojun Yep was developed with the participation of specialists from General Motors, since the American concern is a co-owner of the Chinese brand. The design of the electric car is very reminiscent of the Suzuki Jimny.
Currently, a short, 3.4-meter version is available in Europe, but a four-meter five-door version called the Yep Plus is also expected. In some markets, it is presented under the name Chevrolet Spark.
The affordable electric crossover Baojun Yep has two 10.25-inch screens in the cabin. In its basic version, it is equipped with air conditioning, a rear-view camera and heated seats.
The new Baojun Yep is available in a rear-wheel drive version with a power of 68 horsepower. Its maximum speed is 100 km/h. With a 28 kWh battery, the electric vehicle can travel up to 303 km on a single charge. A more powerful all-wheel drive version is also expected.
The five-door Baojun Yep Plus version is more powerful (102 hp) and will be available with larger batteries with a capacity of 41.9 and 54 kWh.
