The Coca-Cola Company may lose its rights to the Coca-Cola trademark in Russia

According to the Federal Intellectual Property Service, the trademark application was filed in December 1936 and expires on October 31, 2025.

The American company The Coca-Cola Company may lose its rights to the Coca-Cola trademark in Russia at the end of October 2025, TASS reported.

According to the Federal Intellectual Property Service (Rospatent), the Coca-Cola trademark application was filed in December 1936 and expires on October 31, 2025. The trademark is registered under one class of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICGS) – nutritional and tonic drinks.

In addition, the trademark owner has repeatedly filed new applications for registration of the trademark in Russia, renewing its validity, according to Rospatent.

In March 2022, the American soft drink manufacturer The Coca-Cola Company ceased operations in Russia, but Coca-Cola drinks imported from other countries are still available in Russian stores.
