Tokayev met with Telegram founder

Durov opens artificial intelligence lab in world's ninth largest country

On the sidelines of the international forum “Digital Bridge 2025“, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Pavel Durov, founder of the messaging app Telegram, Akorda reports.

During the conversation, the two discussed cooperation in the fields of education, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

The president praised Telegram's efforts to support the development of Kazakhstan's digital agenda. The company officially joined the Astana Hub, opened an office in Kazakhstan and launched artificial intelligence laboratories at the AIem.Ai center.

In turn, Durov talked with Tokayev about the prospects for joint projects in the field of artificial intelligence.

Earlier, Pavel Durov, together with other foreign guests, spoke at the international technology forum “Digital Bridge 2025“, where he announced the opening of an artificial intelligence laboratory in Kazakhstan.
