The American company UPS, specializing in express deliveries and logistics, is destroying thousands of packages due to difficulties caused by the customs policy of US President Donald Trump, NBC reported, citing its sources.

„Thousands of packages sent by UPS to the US are blocked in transport centers across the country, unable to overcome new customs requirements imposed by the Trump administration“, the publication states.

UPS reported that packages are piling up in the company's warehouses, forcing it to get rid of many of them. The unknown location of the shipments caused a wave of dissatisfaction among the company's customers.

NBC notes that the delays are due to the instability of the US tariff policy towards specific countries and certain product groups.

On April 2, Trump announced the introduction of tariffs on products from 185 countries and territories. Later, the American leader changed the tariff rate for a number of countries.
