A1 supported the digital transformation of municipal administrations

In the last few years, A1 has been upgrading the services and solutions with which it supports the digitalization of public institutions

A1 supported the Annual Meeting of Local Authorities 2025, which was held from October 12 to 14 in Albena as an expression of its long-term commitment to the development of the economy and the quality of life of citizens in the regions of the country.

The company presented intelligent solutions with which it already supports some of the municipalities in Bulgaria.

Miroslav Alexandrov, Director of “Corporate Clients“, A1 Bulgaria, said: “We are connected with a large part of the municipalities in Bulgaria by long-term cooperation throughout our 30-year history. In recent years, A1 has established itself as a driver of digital transformation in Bulgaria. At a time when municipalities are at the center of expectations for change, people expect better services, a cleaner environment, higher security and greater transparency. That is why we make it our mission to support local institutions in order to transform every Bulgarian municipality into a smart, sustainable and attractive one for citizens and businesses, with the help of technology.

In the last few years, A1 has been upgrading the services and solutions with which it supports the digitalization of public institutions. The company partners with many municipal administrations for their telecommunications needs and for a number of ICT and IoT solutions. Cybersecurity projects help municipalities protect critical infrastructure and citizens' personal data. Through Telecare, A1 already supports social policies in dozens of municipalities, enabling remote care for the elderly through electronic bracelets and a web-based monitoring system. With A1's smart waste collection solution, the company helps a number of municipalities manage waste effectively - with real-time visualization that facilitates control and brings transparency to citizens. Some municipalities are already using A1's shared electric bike system - a green, modern and affordable solution for urban mobility. Through its industrial drone platform, the telecom supports infrastructure planning, monitoring of hard-to-reach areas and ensuring a higher level of safety in municipalities.
