"Better Online: New Interactive Game Teaches Kids Internet Safety

A1 and the Safer Internet Center are launching a new season of online literacy training. An exciting 3D escape game puts students in real digital situations. Teachers can register for a free training webinar with their classes and participate in prizes.

A1 Bulgaria and the Safer Internet Center (part of the Parents Association) are launching the new season of the program for safe online behavior. This year, the initiative is developing in a new, even more engaging format - the 3D escape game „Better Online“.

The game was created specifically for digital literacy and safety classes. Students find themselves in interactive situations from the real digital world, and teachers work on a methodology that stimulates discussion, critical thinking and conscious choice. This way, young people can test their responsibility and reactions in a controlled environment while having fun.

„At A1 we believe that technology should serve people. With initiatives like „Better Online“ we help children and young people to take advantage of the opportunities of the digital world in a safe and responsible way,“ adds Iliyana Zaharieva, Director of „Corporate Communications“ at A1 Bulgaria.
„Our mission is for children to feel safe and confident online. Now, through a game, we give them the opportunity not just to hear about the risks, but to experience them in a safe, controlled environment at school and learn how to react adequately,“ shares Yana Aleksieva, Executive Director of the Safer Internet Center.

The game is adapted for students in grades 5-7 and grades 8-12 and is suitable for classroom or information technology classes. Topics include online bullying, communicating with strangers, peer pressure and personal responsibility. The game part is followed by a discussion and exercises that help children formulate their own rules for respect and safety online.

Participation is completely free, but requires prior registration via the special online form. A webinar is planned for teachers on October 31 at 3:00 PM, during which the Center's experts will present the methodology and provide guidance on its implementation in class.
The most active teachers and schools can compete for technology awards - winners will be announced at the end of the first academic term.

With partnerships like this with the Safer Internet Center, A1 continues to invest in creating a more accessible, responsible and safe online environment. Annual initiatives that help children feel confident and protected online are an important part of the company's long-term commitment to a more educated digital generation.

More information, the rules of participation and the registration form are available on the program page on the Center's website.
