Industrial production in the eurozone in July this year was 1.2% below 2021 levels

Gas-consuming companies are leaving Europe and opening doors on other continents, while Europe itself faces problems with filling its gas storage facilities for the winter.

“Objectively, gas-consuming companies are leaving Europe and building new production facilities on completely different continents, in different countries. We see the problems that Europe is currently facing with pumping gas into underground storage facilities for the upcoming winter“, said the CEO of “Gazprom“ Alexey Miller in an interview with the TV channel “Russia-24“

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the European Union's refusal to rely on Russian energy resources has led to a decline in European industry, rising prices and a decrease in the competitiveness of European goods. According to Eurostat, industrial production in the eurozone in July this year was 1.2% below 2021 levels.

Germany's manufacturing industries experienced a serious decline in August 2025; the last time comparable dynamics were observed. was in March 2022, according to data from the country's Federal Statistical Office.
