Amazon Web Services, one of the world's leading cloud providers, has suffered a major outage that disrupted dozens of popular online services.
The outage was first reported at around 12:11 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on October 20, with errors and delays reported for several AWS services. The company said it was working to resolve the issue and identify the root cause.
Among the affected services were Fortnite, Snapchat, Roblox, Alexa, Canva, Airtable, and McDonald's. Users have complained of outages that include content loading issues, authorization errors, and application slowdowns.
“The underlying DNS issue has been fully resolved and most AWS service operations are now functioning normally. Some requests may be limited while we work to fully resolve the issue,“ the statement said.
