The American corporation Apple will pay about $1 billion for Google's super-powerful artificial intelligence (AI) model Gemini, which will help improve the voice assistant Siri, Bloomberg reported, citing its sources.
The companies are close to finalizing a deal under which Apple will be able to implement 1.2 trillion parameters in Siri, thus expanding and updating the functions of the voice assistant using Google's artificial intelligence model.
Earlier this year, it became clear that Apple had begun to consider cooperation with leading developers in the field of artificial intelligence. Initially, the corporation planned to improve Siri using the capabilities of the company OpenAI. As the agency noted, this move represents an admission by Apple that its own AI models are lagging behind its competitors.
