The Ukrainian Ministry of Development has dismissed the leadership of the country's Port Authority (AMPU) and the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP), the ministry announced on its Telegram channel.

“The leadership of the UDP and UDP has been dismissed“, the statement said. This is due to the “planned renewal of management teams and management systems in key state-owned enterprises in the maritime and river transport sector”.

The department emphasized that “similar measures will be applied in the future in the railway, transport and aviation sectors”.

At the end of last year, the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company put up for sale all of its seagoing vessels due to losses and competition. According to Ukrainian media, in addition to the aforementioned vessels, the company currently owns approximately 270 river vessels and several cruise ships.

The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company is a state-owned shipping company that carries out cargo and passenger transportation by river and sea. The company also has its own shipbuilding and ship repair factory in the city of Kiliya. The Ukrainian Port Authority is one of the largest state-owned enterprises in the maritime industry, which is of strategic importance for the economy and security of Ukraine.
