US oil production has surpassed the combined production of Russia and Saudi Arabia. This was stated by Energy Secretary Chris Wright at a meeting of the President's Cabinet at the White House.
“Our gas production is also higher than that of Russia, China and Iran combined - the second, third and fourth largest natural gas producers“, he said.
As Washington State Chief of Staff Donald Trump emphasized at the meeting, the US is now “producing more than ever in history”“. “We are extracting more energy from the earth, particularly oil and gas. We have never come close to this“, he said.
