The American company OpenAI is discontinuing four old models in its ChatGPT chatbot. They will not work from February 13. The reason is that most users have already migrated to the new version of the neural network, the company announced.

We will decommission the GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, GPT-4.1 mini and OpenAI o4-mini models Most users have already migrated to GPT-5.2“, the statement states.

GPT-4o is currently used by only 0.1% of users. Last November, the company also announced the end of support for GPT-5 with the release of GPT-5.1.

OpenAI introduced its latest model, GPT-5.2, in December 2025. According to the developers, it is better at creating spreadsheets and presentations, writing code, and recognizing images.

In 2022, the company introduced ChatGPT, a service capable of interacting interactively with users. The chatbot can answer clarifying questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect assumptions, and reject inappropriate requests.
