The market cap of Walmart, the largest retailer in the United States, surpassed $1 trillion for the first time, according to trading data.
According to Nasdaq data at the end of yesterday's session, the company's shares rose 2.43%, reaching $127.08 per share. Walmart's market cap reached $1.01 trillion. By 8:30 p.m. Bulgarian time, the shares had slowed to $127.04 per share (an increase of 2.4%).
The American retail chain is the 15th largest company by market capitalization, with approximately $50 billion ahead of Berkshire Hathaway, whose CEO was previously Warren Buffett, one of the richest people in the world.
