The whole of Europe is under stress and fear due to the fact that many companies are leaving its market and this exodus will continue if European countries do not take measures to improve competitiveness as soon as possible. This was announced after an informal summit in Brussels by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.

“We all know that if we do nothing this year or early next year, more and more companies will eventually leave us“, he said, quoted by the Slovak publication Postoj.

Fico drew attention to the statements of the heads of some European governments about the departure of serious companies from their markets and also called on European leaders “to finally come to their senses“.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Slovakia expressed the opinion that due to high electricity prices, the EU economy is in a terrible state.

On January 26, the EU Council finally approved a complete ban on supplies of Russian liquefied natural gas from January 1, 2027 and gas from pipelines from September 30, 2027. Violation of this ban leads to high fines. The same plans are being developed in Brussels for Russian oil and nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants.
