Ukraine with a record trade deficit

It amounts to 44.5 billion dollars in 2025

Ukraine's negative foreign trade balance in 2025 exceeded 44 billion USD, according to data from the country's State Customs Service.

For the 12 months of 2025, trade turnover amounted to 125.1 billion USD: the country imported goods worth 84.8 billion USD and exported 40.3 billion USD.

The three largest importers of Ukrainian products in January-December 2025 were China (19.2 billion USD), Poland (7.9 billion USD) and Germany (6.6 billion USD). The main buyers of Ukrainian goods during this period were Poland (5 billion USD), Turkey (2.7 billion USD) and Germany (2.4 billion USD).

Ukraine's trade deficit for 2024 was 29.1 billion USD. At that time, Danilo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada's Finance Committee, called this figure a record.
