Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called an emergency meeting of the Security Council today, March 20, due to rising energy prices caused by the situation in the Middle East.
According to Radio and Television Serbia, in addition to the permanent members of the Security Council, representatives of the energy sector will also participate in the meeting.
Earlier on Thursday, the Serbian government decided to extend the ban on fuel exports from the country until April 2 and release additional diesel fuel from reserves on the market to limit the rise in prices.
