Any agreement on the Strait of Hormuz must take into account the positions of all countries in the region and be supported by international guarantees. This was stated by the spokesman of the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Majid bin Mohammed al-Ansari.
“Any agreement on the Strait of Hormuz after the war cannot exclude any country in the region and must be supported by international guarantees“, Al Jazeera quoted him as saying. The diplomat stressed that “consensus must be reached among the countries using the Strait of Hormuz, and no country has the right to impose its own conditions“.
