The exchange rate of Iran's national currency, the rial, fell to a record low against the US dollar in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Iranian financial portal TGJU, which monitors currency and gold prices.
According to the portal, 1 dollar is currently worth 1.819 million rials. On April 28, 1 dollar was worth 1.65 million rials, which shows a decline of more than 10%.
The price of 1 dollar has increased by 83.8% in the last 2025. Over the past three years, the US dollar has strengthened by approximately 219% against the Iranian rial.
