Eurozone inflation rose to 3% year-on-year for the first time in three years as a result of the energy crisis, the European statistics agency Eurostat said.
"Eurozone inflation rose to 3% year-on-year in April, up from 2.6% in March", the agency said, citing preliminary data.
These figures are a record for the past three years and, according to the agency, were caused by the energy crisis in connection with the US-Israeli war against Iran.
