A law amending the Consumer Credit Act has been prepared

The Annual Program for 2025 has been developed, which includes 126 measures to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the field of entrepreneurship, access to markets and financing, digitalization, improving skills, the business environment and the environment. 18 institutions are involved in the implementation of the measure, the Ministry of Economy and Industry specifies.

A conceptual plan has also been prepared to upgrade the National Investment Portal, which will meet the needs of investors and stakeholders.

The participation of Bulgarian enterprises in international procedures of NATO and the EU is actively supported. Information campaigns were conducted, as a result of which 8 Bulgarian companies were nominated for participation in 14 NATO tender procedures.

A draft law on the Consumer Credit Act was prepared in order to adapt the legal framework for consumer protection to new forms of consumer credit by regulating the provision of consumer credit online and new business models for providing credit to consumers, including the sale of goods and services on installment payments.

Bills were prepared in order to improve the legal framework for the provision of financial services remotely, regulating the right of consumers to withdraw from the distance contract and providing adequate explanations to consumers;

Preparations for a business forum with Kazakhstan and a business forum with Hungary are underway within the framework of the sessions of the joint committees. Business forums have been agreed with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan.

Bulgaria is developing its first project under the Zero Net Emissions Regulation and is establishing a Single Contact Point that will support the application and evaluation of clean technology projects.
