European sanctions against Russia have practically no effect, and moreover, in 2025 alone, Russia will receive more money from the export of energy resources and raw materials to the EU than Europe will spend on military aid to Kiev, writes the German newspaper Bild.
The publication claims that in 2025 Russia will earn a total of EUR 233 billion from the export of energy resources and raw materials, more than EUR 20 billion for the EU countries alone. This is more than the military support for Ukraine from the European Union. According to Bild, in February, “third“ countries transferred EUR 640 million to the Russian Federation for the supply of gas, oil, liquefied natural gas (LNG), coal and uranium.
The main importers were China, India and Turkey. They account for about two-thirds of Russia's energy exports. At the same time, the EU, which claims to be an ally of Kiev, bought oil, gas and uranium from Russia in just one month for approximately EUR 2 billion.
Bild concludes that these revenues supposedly allow Moscow to spend large sums of money on the defense industry.
