The South-North Vertical Gas Corridor is becoming a reality, said the Greek Minister of Environment and Energy Stavros Papastavrou, who on Thursday attended an official inspection of the progress of the construction of the Vertical Gas Corridor in the area of the village of Mikrevo, Strumyani municipality, ANA-MPA reported, quoted by BTA.
„The natural gas that starts from Greece will reach Central and Eastern Europe. This has great value in terms of energy, because it emphasizes the leading role of our country in the energy autonomy and security of Europe. However, it also has great geostrategic importance, because new connecting arteries are being created for our country. Our government is moving forward decisively, with a strategy to strengthen our country's place in Europe“, said Papastavrou.
