The capital of the founder and largest shareholder of the pharmaceutical company “Promomed“ Peter Bely has exceeded 1 billion USD. He became the fifth Russian billionaire to have made his fortune from the production of medicines, writes Forbes.
Bely's fortune is based on a controlling stake in PJSC “Promomed“ (about 88%). According to the publication, on Monday, June 9, the price of one Promomed share during the evening session of the Moscow Stock Exchange reached 420.85 rubles, that is, the value of the package belonging to Bely was equal to 78.4 billion rubles.
Forbes recalled that earlier the co-owners of the holding company “Ogment Investments“ Viktor Kharitonin and Egor Kulkov, who own shares in pharmaceutical manufacturers "Pharmstandard", "OTCPharm", "Biocad" and "Generium", as well as the founders of the companies "R-Pharm" Alexey Repik and "Pharmasintez" Vikram Punia, became billionaires in the pharmaceutical industry. The owners of pharmaceutical distributors are also billionaires: the group "Protek" - Vadim Yakunin and the company FC "Pulse" - Eduard Netilko.
Peter Bely was born in 1972. The businessman graduated from Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry. In 2005, he founded the company "Promomed". Its structure includes a research and development center and a plant "Biochemist". The company is developing a diversified portfolio of over 350 drugs in the top 10 segments of the pharmaceutical market. In July 2024, "Promomed" held an initial public offering of shares on the Moscow Exchange.
