Shares of the American company Tesla fell by over 7% during the pre-market on the Nasdaq electronic exchange, according to data from the trading platform. This dynamics is observed against the background of the statement of the head of the company Elon Musk about the creation of a political party “America“ in the USA.

At the beginning of today's trading, the company's shares fell by 7.44%, to 291.88 USD per share. By noon, the quotes slowed down their decline and were at 293.09 USD per share (-7.06%).

Earlier, Musk, following the results of a vote held on his X page, announced the creation of a political party “America“. He said that excessive spending and bribery are effectively bankrupting the United States, saying that the country has become a “one-party system, not a democracy“.

Musk, who is the richest person on the planet, was until recently the coordinator of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and a US civil servant with a special status working on a voluntary basis. He was effectively part of US President Donald Trump's inner circle, but according to publications in the American press, behind the scenes relations between the president and the businessman began to deteriorate for a number of reasons, including those related to the entrepreneur's business interests.

After Musk left civil service, the parties staged a noisy public showdown on June 5 via social networks. The businessman said that without his support, Trump would not have won the November 2024 election, approved the idea of a new attempt to impeach Trump, and criticized the government spending bill promoted by the US administration, which provides for an increase in the debt ceiling by 5 trillion USD.
