Bulgaria's long-term foreign currency credit rating has been upgraded to “BBB+“ with a stable outlook. The assessment is by international rating agencies Fitch and S&P Global. This is the highest level of investment-grade ratings, the Ministry of Finance announced.
The leading factor for our country's higher credit rating is our final decision to enter the eurozone from the beginning of 2026. This is stated in the reasons for the decision of both rating agencies.
