Low-cost airline Wizz Air is launching flights to 7 new destinations. These are Prague (Czech Republic), Turin and Lamezia Terme (Italy), Chisinau (Moldova), Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Marrakech (Morocco) and Warsaw (Poland), the airline announced.

The airline is also positioning a seventh aircraft at Sofia's "Vasil Levski" airport. "This will create 40 new permanent jobs and many more related jobs," said András Szabó, Wizz Air's commercial director for Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

The airline will continue to operate at Terminal 1, which now has 8 gates instead of 6. “When we open Terminal 3, Terminal 1 will close. This will happen in April 2031. We continue to invest in Terminal 1 and after the summer we will have a complete renovation of the food and beverage sales area and we will improve the capacity of security checks, because at the end of October the airline's 7th aircraft will be positioned. We also have other projects for Terminal 1, namely a new apron where 8 aircraft will be located and passengers will be able to get from the Terminal to the aircraft on their own. This improves working time“, explained Jesus Caballero, CEO of "SOF Connect".
