Ukraine and Qatar have decided to renew the concession for use of the Olvia port in the Mykolaiv region, which was suspended due to hostilities, the Ukrainian Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories reported.
„The Ministry of Development, QTerminals Olvia LLC and the Qatari company QTerminals signed a memorandum of cooperation and understanding. It talks about resuming the concession project at the specialized seaport of Olvia in the Mykolaiv region“, the department's Telegram channel reported.
The port was transferred to the Qatari company for 35 years on August 20, 2020. In the same year, the Ukrainian government signed an agreement to transfer the Kherson port to a concession to the Georgian-Swiss company Risoil-Kherson for a period of 30 years. After February 2022, these projects were suspended.
