Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made his first post on the new Turkish social network Next Sosyal.

Erdogan made his post on Nsosyal, thus highlighting the symbolic beginning of a new stage in the country's digital independence.

In his first post, the head of state quoted the line “A flower bloomed among the concrete walls“ from the famous poem by the poet Erdem Bayazit “The Sun Will Rise Soon“, which Erdogan himself read in his poetry album, published in 1999. After the quote, the president asked his subscribers a short but meaningful question: “Are you ready?“

The publication was accompanied by the hashtag #Başlıyoruz (Let's start) and three emojis - the Turkish flag, the globe and the rocket - symbolically demonstrating Turkey's ambitions to develop its own digital platforms that can compete with their foreign counterparts.

The launch of NSosyal is part of Turkey's strategy to strengthen national sovereignty in the field of information technology and reduce dependence on foreign digital giants. The platform is positioned as “local and safe“ an alternative to popular social networks, offering users a space to communicate, share news and express opinions in accordance with the country's cultural and ethical norms.

The president's first publication caused an active response among users: thousands of reposts, comments and likes appeared within the first hours after it.

In this way, Erdogan not only became the symbolic first user of the new platform, but also demonstrated political support for the development of national technologies in Turkey.

The new social network is expected to gain popularity in the country, as the Turkish population is attracted to online communication.
