The „Kalashnikov“ concern will produce a batch of tactical machine gun mounts used to repel drone attacks against sensitive objects of the fuel and energy infrastructure, the concern's press service reported.
"The company has signed a contract for the production of a batch of tactical mounts for automatic small arms used to protect sensitive objects of a large Russian company in the fuel and energy complex from potential attacks by enemy drones“, the statement said.
The concern emphasized that the mount was developed at the request of law enforcement agencies and is a foldable and height-adjustable tripod on which a small weapon can be mounted. “Depending on its modification, the tactical support is used to install one or two Kalashnikov“ machine guns (PKM, PKT), a “Degtyarev“ machine gun (DPM) or AK-type assault rifles. The weight of the tactical support, taking into account the variability, is from 15 to 38 kg, it has an open mechanical sight, as well as the possibility of installing optical-electronic sights and additional equipment“, they noted there.
Kalashnikov added that the support allows hitting approaching enemy unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of up to 300 m, as well as manpower at a distance of up to 1 km. The concern emphasized that the products will be manufactured and delivered to the customer in a complete set by the end of this year.
