Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks in an expanded format with King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein in Akorda. Today, relations between the two countries are experiencing the most productive period in the last 30 years.

"Kazakhstan attaches great importance to promoting mutually beneficial partnership with your country. And you are truly a very reliable partner in the modern world. We highly appreciate your commitment and your work to promote our bilateral cooperation. I would also like to express your leadership and wisdom, as well as your important role in promoting peace and harmony in your region, as well as at the global level," the president said.

He noted that under the leadership of King Abdullah II, Jordan has become a point of peace and tranquility in the Middle East.

"I would also like to note the very warm welcome during my visit to the Kingdom in February. The visit was very productive and gave a strong impetus to the development of our bilateral cooperation. And I am confident that your visit today will also improve relations between Kazakhstan and Jordan and give a new impetus to our cooperation, - Tokayev emphasized.

The countries plan to sign over 15 agreements that cover various aspects of cooperation.

"Kazakhstan and Jordan are connected not only by our common vision in the economic and political spheres, but also by deep cultural ties. We share common values, culture, religion and traditions of tolerance and mutual multiplication, both in Jordan and in Kazakhstan. We have demonstrated to the world how different cultures and religions can coexist in peace and promote the further prosperity of humanity. And I am truly confident that our negotiations will lead to concrete agreements in certain priority areas, such as transport, energy, logistics, agriculture, information technologies and digitalization, as well as healthcare and pharmaceuticals, as well as other areas" added the head of state.

Kazakhstan's President Tokayev met with Jordan's King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein in Akorda.
