Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov opened the new school year at the 83rd Elin Pelin Primary School, in the Pancharevo region, BNT reports.
"Today, there is no person who does not remember how he crossed the threshold of the school with trepidation and keeps the memory of that first day of school in first grade... The school is that temple that the state must and takes care of, as the most important social service for society. There must also be teachers. They teach that wisdom and those virtues to our children so that they can be worthy Bulgarians. Over 20 percent of teachers are under 35 years old, and this is proof that more and more young people are choosing the teaching profession. Much is being done to ensure that no child is left out of the education system. Over 75,000 have been returned to school. The most important thing is for children to learn values, morality and sports. Good luck!". This was said by the Prime Minister in his welcoming speech.
