„We are neither offended nor worried. The vote will not pass. It's just that the mathematics in the distribution of deputy seats shows that those of us who support the government are 135, and those who are against are 105. Here I am very interested in how the colleagues from PP-DB will stand together with the pro-Russian formation "Vazrazhdane". This is something that worries me”. This was stated in the program “Your Day” Rumen Hristov, leader of the UDF.

“Parliamentary time is being lost, but it is their right to pass as many votes of no confidence as they want. If we assume that somehow elections are held and Radev is given a platform, what is the alternative - the colleagues from the PP-DB or those who will gather around Rumen Radev. We have seen how malicious his rule was”, said Hristov.

Before that, he explained that it was “too exaggerated to talk about a dictatorship”. “We are a democratic country. We have been working in this direction for 35 years and we will continue”, commented Rumen Hristov.

He rejected the case with the Varna mayor as being political. “This is about accusations related to economic issues. He is not in prison because of his ideology or because he set out to overthrow the government, but because of what is happening in the municipality. When there are accusations about what is happening with your activities as a business manager, you cannot call them political”, said Hristov.

Asked about the doubts about selectivity in the actions of the Commission for Combating Corruption, Hristov said: “The opposition always thinks that it is being approached politically. I do not think so. The decision about Blagomir Kotsev is up to the court. I do not comment on the court's decisions”, said Hristov.

He also commented on the Euro Law and how the state should adequately, without sounding repressive, control prices. “The cost price of each product is clear, it can be checked, because it is accounted for when it is produced. I really hope that the measures are temporary. We were forced to take these actions, based on what happened in Croatia, to avoid speculation, if there is any”, said Rumen Hristov.

“The state cannot stop the increase in prices, it can stop speculation”, he commented.

For “Shop for People”, Rumen Hristov said that 10 million leva have been invested. “This is an open company, it will create and manage these stores”, explained Hristov.”Premises that need minor renovation are being sought”, he added.
