The director of the Ruse Regional Directorate of Internal Affairs, Senior Commissioner Nikolay Kozhuharov, has been discharged from the hospital, Nova TV reports. The University Hospital "Kanev" confirmed, stating that he is in good general condition, his treatment continues at home and remains under observation.

We recall that on September 4 at night, the police chief and his companion were attacked by young people, to whom the person next to Kozhuharov made a remark about risky driving. The police chief underwent a serious operation and was recovering in the intensive care unit of the University Hospital "Kanev". Four were detained.

A few days ago, it became clear that the chief of the Ruse police is now in contact, conscious, and out of danger to his life. On September 10, as announced at the court hearing at the Veliko Tarnovo Court of Appeal, the testimony of Senior Commissioner Kozhuharov was taken. The four detainees have been charged. Two will be charged with hooliganism, and two others - with grievous bodily harm and hooliganism. Hours after the attack, Kozhuharov sought medical help.

We recall that the Veliko Tarnovo Court of Appeal released under house arrest with electronic bracelets, while the investigation is ongoing, three of the accused in the beating - Julien Kyazimov, Kiril Gochev and Viktor Ivanov. According to the prosecution, Kyazimov and the minor Stanislav Alexandrov inflicted the blows on Kozhuharov, and their friends Kiril and Viktor are also charged with hooliganism. The court released them from custody and imposed supervision by an inspector of the Children's Pedagogical Room on the minor Stanislav.
