The Executive Director of “Toplofikatsiya Sofia“ EAD Petar Petrov held a conversation with the Minister of Energy Zhecho Stankov, to whom he presented details about the upcoming repair of the heat transmission network in the capital's district “Druzhba 2“, the company announced to NOVA.
According to Petrov, the repair is extremely urgent due to the severely deteriorated technical condition of the facilities. The company has tried to cope with its own resources, but so far has managed to replace only a small part of the necessary sections.
According to the clarifications, the shutdown of the heat supply will not last for the entire planned period of 90 days. At first, there will be an interruption for only 2-3 days to install the shut-off valves, after which the supply will be restored. The repair activities will begin in stages - first in the blocks where there are kindergartens and schools, and then they will cover the next blocks.
Petrov also informed the minister about the expected benefits of the project - a significant reduction in accidents and losses in the transmission of heat energy, as well as improving the heat supply in the higher parts of Sofia, such as “Mladost 4“, “Malinova Dolina“ and “Lozenets“.
“With the implementation of this project, the problem in the neighborhood will be solved for at least 30 years to come“, emphasized the executive director of “Toplofikatsiya Sofia“.
