Two houses burned in the Varna village of Banovo

A fire broke out in the Mechi Kamak area above the Brezni village of Gorni Romantsi

At 1:50 p.m., a fire broke out in the village of Banovo, Suvorovo municipality, burning down two houses, the police in Varna announced, BTA reported.

Due to the strong wind, the fire continues to spread and is entering the direction of the neighboring village of Prosechen. 7 vehicles of the Regional Directorate for "Fire Safety and Population Protection" have been sent to the scene. The mayor of the village has mobilized agricultural producers to use machines to plow the fields where the flames are spreading.

Earlier, at around 1:26 p.m., a fire alarm was also received in Suvorovo. The fire started from dry grass that had ignited in the Roma quarter. The fire has also entered the forest in the direction of the village of Drandar.

3 fire trucks have been sent to the scene.

A fire is burning in the "Mechi Kamak" area above the Breznik village of Gorni Romantsi, the director of the State Forestry Administration (SFA) - Breznik Yuliy Sirakov told BTA.

The fire was reported after 1:00 p.m.

The fire is growing rapidly at this stage, which is facilitated by the openness of the terrain. Dry grass is currently burning in agricultural properties, and the flames are gradually entering forest territory. Teams of firefighters, employees of the SFA - Breznik and hunters have been mobilized on the scene.

Sirakov specified that everything possible will be done to bring the fire under control by tonight. For this purpose, employees from neighboring forestry enterprises are also expected to arrive to join in as reinforcements in extinguishing the fire.
