Let us set an example to future generations that Bulgaria can and should move forward with self-confidence and faith, said the mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev on the occasion of the 117th anniversary of the declaration of Bulgaria's Independence.
Independence is the natural continuation of freedom, BTA specified. It was won at the cost of many sacrifices, and independence - with wisdom and courage, said the mayor Terziev. Today we can say that this spirit is alive. Terziev added that Bulgaria is part of the European family, and Sofia is a capital that carries the pulse of a modern state.
Vasil Terziev called for unity, because only together can we be free.
