Parvan Simeonov: The government should nominate a presidential candidate who will appeal to Western liberal people

"Part of the central government's attempt to destroy the image of the PP-DB is observed in Pazardzhik, with the district mayors in Sofia, and in Varna, and it seems to me in other places that I miss. The overall effect of all this, at least for now, is the opposite, that is, it rather tightened the PP-DB - there was an effect of exaggeration on the part of the government," the sociologist also commented

"The tension in Varna is literally felt, as a sociologist I can say it". This was noted to the Bulgarian National Radio by Parvan Simeonov from the "Myara" agency:

"I don't know how far this tension can go, but it is real. I sincerely hope that this is not a political case, but if we have to be honest, it will have its political consequences because it is not isolated. Part of the central government's attempt to destroy the image of the PP-DB is being observed in Pazardzhik, with the district mayors in Sofia and Varna, and it seems to me that there are other places that I am missing. The overall effect of all this, at least for now, is the opposite, that is, it rather tightened the PP-DB - there was an effect of overdoing it on the part of the government".

"The government must nominate a candidate for president who will appeal to Western liberal people, so that in the second round they will not vote for the protesting criminal candidate, but vote for a candidate who will tell them a Western fairy tale", added Parvan Simeonov in an interview for the show "Nescho pove" on the "Horizont" program and also said:

"Zhelyazkov is a type that could be liked".
