Vanya Grigorova: If someone is fighting the shadow economy, they should remove the ceiling on social security contributions

Druzhbentsi will pay the price for the rest of Sofia to have heating this winter and this is just the beginning

"The purpose of my tours in the country is to oppose the intentions for another reform in the pension system, which is against the interests of ordinary working people and today's pensioners, of course". This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by Vanya Grigorova from “Solidarity Bulgaria”:

"In April, a decision was adopted by the National Assembly to begin analyses of the pension system and to prepare a roadmap for its improvement. Don't have any doubt, at least I don't, since I've been dealing with this topic for years, that these analyses were done a long time ago.

I'm familiar with them, that is, there is nothing new in these six months that were given by the National Assembly to a series of Bulgarian institutions, we won't see anything new. We know what the state of the pension system is, we in “Solidarna Bulgaria” know, not only us, of course, including the people with whom we announced the campaign “Don't gamble our old age“ at a press conference, we know what needs to be done, the government knows it too, only that they have to touch the money of wealthy Bulgarian citizens”.

"Currently, this low maximum social security income actually even stimulates the shadow economy", he added in an interview for the “Nedelya 150" program on “Horizont" the chairman of the association "Solidarity Bulgaria":

"If someone is really fighting the shadow economy, they simply need to remove the ceiling on social security contributions".

The municipal councilor in the Sofia Municipal Council also commented on the topic of the repair of "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" in the Sofia district "Druzhba 2":

"Druzhba residents will pay the price for the entire rest of Sofia to have heating this winter and this is just the beginning. If you see photos of the pipes, you will wonder how there is heating at all. They are eaten away like cheese, like French cheese. If someone doesn't immediately start pouring investments there, we will simply be left without heating and hot water throughout Sofia forever".

"I will not support the proposal to increase parking prices in the blue and green zones, because in general I do not think that the zones help in any way to solve the problem of parking and passenger transportation in general. We should provide parking lots, strengthen public transport, and not increase prices and the scope of the zones", commented Grigorova.
