Bulgaria is walking in the "boots" of the Romanians. We are not doing anything different from them, only that they started in 2018, and we in 2021. Whether we will follow the Romanian scenario depends on political decisions. This was said by the former Deputy Minister of Finance and member of the Fiscal Council Lyubomir Datsov in “Hello, Bulgaria”.

"The problem for the next budget is that we do not know how we will enter the year. The state budget has two pillars. One is macroeconomic, it balances things. The other is related to salaries and what services citizens will receive in return for their taxes," he said.

“All analyses show that we are on the verge of overheating the economy. We need to enter with at least a -2% deficit, which means 4% of GDP. Inflation is due to the overheating of the labor market. To cool it down, we need to reduce spending and reduce the deficit,” Datsov explained.
