Rain will start falling from the west at night, which will mark the beginning of the complicated meteorological situation, BNT reported.
It will also be windy. The wind will be northeasterly, moderate, in Eastern Bulgaria and especially along the Black Sea coast - strong, with gusts of up to 90 km/h. A code yellow has been declared.
In Western and Central Bulgaria, the warning is for significant precipitation and is of the second degree - code orange, for expected amounts of up to about 65 l/sq. m in total for the day. Temperatures will be without significant daily variation - the minimums will be between 6° and 11°, and the maximums - from 8° to to 13°, in Sofia - about 8°.
On Friday night, with the continued decrease in temperatures in many places in Western Bulgaria, the rain will mix and turn into wet snow.
It will also be cloudy, windy and with precipitation along the Black Sea coast. In more places it will rain along the southern coast. A moderate to strong northeasterly wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will be around 15°-17°. Sea waves remain moderate - around 3-4 points.
It will also be windy in the mountains and with precipitation mainly from snow, below about 1200 meters from rain.A moderate to strong wind will blow from the east-southeast. In many places in the massifs of Western and Central Bulgaria, precipitation will be significant, and by the evening with the decrease in temperatures, the snowfall limit will also decrease. Wet snow will fall, snow cover will begin to form and there will be conditions for accumulation on the foliage, breaking of branches and trees.
On Friday the precipitation will continue, again intense and significant in quantity. It will remain windy, especially in Eastern Bulgaria. And in the mountainous regions of Western Bulgaria the border between rain and snow will drop to 600-700 meters. Snow cover will continue to accumulate in the mountains. Temperatures will have a small daily range - from 4°-5° in the high fields in Western Bulgaria to 20°-22° in the extreme southeastern regions. After lunch, the precipitation will stop.
On Saturday, it will rain in the eastern regions, but lightly.On Sunday, the wind will subside, the cloud cover will break, there will be morning fog, but also sunny hours. However, at the beginning of the new week, there is a high probability of new serious precipitation conditions.
