Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov responded to the opposition's concerns about a possible increased deficit in the budget for next year., BNT reported.
"Currently, the deficit is 2.4. Today /b.r. Wednesday/ the interim report was released. Our goal is to finish the year as planned.
We will submit the budget for 2026 by the end of October, a budget in which, also in the sense of the law on increased finances, the deficit will be up to 3%. Moreover, Bulgaria has a record increase in revenues this year - 6 billion. Once again - 6 billion more than 2024 revenue receipts.
That's more than 13%. And here we're talking about zero, one thing, and something that someone sees as a problem," said the Prime Minister from Copenhagen.
