A second cyclone is expected with significant (and again triple-digit, if the forecasts remain in this form) amounts on October 7-8, and for now, the probability of serious torrential rains is higher, mainly in Central and Eastern Bulgaria.
This is reported by the forecasters from Meteo Bulgaria, quoted by FOCUS.
"There will still be changes along the trajectory of the cyclone and the forecasts are not final, but it is important to be prepared and the Meteo Bulgaria team will again monitor and inform you constantly, because we will find ourselves unprepared and surprised for the nth time, and with the already overmoistened soil after the past 48 hours, and the passivity of the state, problems, unfortunately, are inevitable. Hopefully they won't be catastrophic and cause casualties again...
In the first decade of October alone, more rain will fall in many places than there has been not only in the entire summer, but also in all nine months so far. Literally until that day, there were stations in the country with annual precipitation (from January to September) of the order of 200 and a little over l/sq m. In this painfully dry year, we will receive a solid compensation from... the beginning of October," the forecasters specify.
